2 Quotations
- All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on information provided by you at the time of enquiry. If additional work is required once work commences, we will agree a revised price before proceeding.
- A quotation is not a contract. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your instruction in writing or by commencing the agreed work.
- Where an approximate price is given, the final invoice will reflect the actual time and materials used.
3 Scheduling & Access
- You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and unobstructed access to the property and areas where work is to be carried out.
- If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur a call-out charge.
- We will endeavour to arrive within any agreed time window. If running significantly late, we will notify you as soon as possible.
- A responsible adult (18+) must be present at the property for the duration of the work, unless otherwise agreed.
4 Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of the work unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, cash or card. Payment details will be confirmed on your invoice.
- For larger jobs, we may request a deposit of up to 50% of the quoted price before ordering materials. This will be stated clearly in the quotation.
- Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may be subject to a late payment charge under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5 Our Work & Standards
- All work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, current edition) and relevant Building Regulations.
- Where notifiable work is carried out, we will notify NAPIT and provide you with the appropriate certification.
- We use quality materials appropriate for the work. Unless otherwise agreed, we will source materials at our discretion.
- We will leave the work area clean and tidy. Please note that decorative reinstatement (e.g. making good after chasing) is not included unless specifically agreed.
6 Guarantee & Defects
- Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion.
- This guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, damage by third parties, flood, fire or events beyond our control.
- Components and materials may carry their own manufacturer's warranty, which we will pass on to you where applicable.
- Any defects should be reported promptly. We will investigate and carry out remedial work at no extra charge if the fault is attributable to our workmanship.
7 Liability
- We carry public liability insurance to £5,000,000. Proof of insurance is available on request.
- Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the total value of the work carried out under the relevant contract.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings or business, arising from any defect or delay.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8 Health & Safety
- You must inform us of any known hazards at the property — including asbestos, known wiring faults, or structural issues — before work begins.
- If we discover a condition that poses immediate danger, we reserve the right to stop work and advise you accordingly.
- Children and pets should be kept away from the work area for safety.
9 Complaints
We aim to resolve any complaints quickly and fairly. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service:
10 Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11 Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you instruct us to carry out work will apply to that contract. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
